Naturacultura - Mother Earth

Yet this idyllic vision has always turn a vision of nature as uncontrollable force, irrational, capricious and cruel. Human beings have always struggled with nature and tried to enslave it to their needs.

Nature and culture are close and distance continued, is a deep relationship and radical art has drawn, and draws on the natural concept in a consistent manner. The idea of nature can not be understood only as the natural environment, because it touches many aspects, from the human soul to the universe, from the ecosystem to life and suffering living beings suffer and they suffer. The human being is part of this complex web, can not dominate nature or to submit to it passively. It is in pursuit of a balance with Mother Earth that unfolds the possibility of life for humans and all other creatures that share the universe with him. Naturacultura says all this through the various languages of art and search paths of the artists exhibiting.

«[...] that the nature of the world was not ready for anything

by divine will for us so great defect it is equipped.
First, to what covers the broad expanse of sky,
a large part is occupied by mountains and forests
domain of wild animals, possess the cliffs and deserted
marshes and the sea will be vastly separating the shores of the land.
addition, almost two thirds
the scorching heat and freezing them out of the regular fall to mortals.
What remains of farmland, nature with its strength
the cover of brambles, however, if you do not resist the force of man,
accustomed to the needs of life to wail on the robust
hoe and plow the land, driving them to the bottom of the plow. "
(Titus Lucretius Carus De rerum natura - Paper V)

A new survey for the sixteenth year of operation, in a renewed Marconi Gallery in form but strongly rooted in the substance of its own search path, this already seems too. But there can be enough. The hope is to work again with consistency, stubbornness and the desire to grow, remaining always in step with the times, capturing ideas and changes of our time, and this seems too . There is no arrogance or immodesty, but the show was titled 2010 2011 Too! Marconi Gallery exaggerate!, because in a world where the crisis exists and unfortunately touches the lives of millions of people, where we are all subject to cuts and restrictions of fundamental rights, we felt the desire to spill over, not just physically.
